APEX HOUSE
CLIENT: PRIVATE
TYPE: RESIDENTIAL
LOCATION: EAST SUSSEX, U.K

PROJECT DESCRIPTION | IN PROGRESS |

A Late-Edwardian style detached house in need of repairing, including the rear-conservatory, and undertilised basement with low ceiling heights, a sizable garden currently not celebrated, and optimising the layout of the house to be able to improve the day to day comforts and flow of activities.

In addition to the interior refurbishment, our architectural design includes a two-storey south-facing rear-extension over the ground and basement level, to provide a new kitchen, dining and living at Ground Floor with a full-width balcony to embrace the garden and daylight. A pyramidal roof is a modern proposal to reflect the residential-qualities of the numerous slopes of the existing roof, whilst simultaneously creating generous proportions internally, capped with a skylight to enhance the daylight qualities throughout this new living area.
